OSI Security reports $24M in new maintenance contracts

Oct 09, 2023

July 3 (UPI) -- California-headquartered OSI Systems is to provide maintenance and support services for a number of security inspection systems.

The services, by OSI's Security division, will be conducted under a number of contracts received recently and worth a total of $24 million, the company announced on June 30.

Additional details of the awards, however, were not disclosed.

"We are pleased to achieve these orders to continue supporting our products in the field and the critical mission objectives of this customer," Deepak Chopra, chairman and chief executive officer at OSI, said in a press release.

OSI Systems manufactures electronic security systems, such as passenger and baggage inspection devices. The company said its work under the contracts will be conducted on models within its Rapiscan's Eagle and AS&E's Z Portal and ZBV Cargo and Vehicle Inspection systems.

Rapiscan's 600 series Baggage and Parcel Inspection product lines will also be maintained under the awards.
